Building a tunnel boring machine takes time, expertise, and a serious amount of kit. We're looking for sponsors and in-kind partners who want to help shape the next generation of UK tunnelling engineers — and get visible alongside a UK student-built TBM.
The UK tunnelling industry is short of engineers. Our team graduates having hand-built a TBM — sponsors get first access to recruits who already know the discipline.
Your brand on the TBM, on our trailer, on the dig site, on social, on the press coverage. Student-built engineering campaigns punch above their weight on visibility.
Site visits, technical reviews, design challenges, internships — we're set up for partners who want to actually engage, not just badge.
If your firm builds, sells, machines, codes, or maintains anything we need to put a TBM in the ground, in-kind support is often more valuable to us than cash. We're equally keen to talk to manufacturers, suppliers, contractors, and consultancies.
Common in-kind formats include parts & materials, machine time, software licences, technical mentorship, and on-site logistics.
We're at the start of our partnership programme. Early sponsors get headline placement, founding-partner status, and the loudest voice in shaping how we tell the project's story.
Become a founding partner →We have a full sponsorship pack outlining the project, the team, the competition, and what each tier looks like in practice. Drop us a line and we'll send it across.
